Bare....the Musical Claire’s song Warning, is a great piece of writing and sung with such feeling. Almost hesitant at the beginning reflecting her deep fears, it unfolds with her realisation of reality, and then just literally soars with energy and knowing. It impacted on every single member of the audience, no doubt about it. I think Mandi Lodge as Claire is a stand out performance. What a talent!?!"

Providing a vocal highpoint in act two, and pretty much grounding the drama of the entire show, is the superb performance by Mandi Lodge as Claire, well-meaning mother of schoolboy Peter. In the blink of an eye, Lodge switches Claire from a flighty, garrulous ball of nerves to a steel magnolia, racked with pain yet unwilling to be crushed. In an evening of stellar singing. Lodge’s powerhouse belt in “Warning” is the jewel in the crown. What a vocal performance she has! – particularly in the second act." Review by Sam Webb DanceLife " Mandi Lodge all but steals the limelight not once but twice, with her powerful pipes (what range!), channeling her character Gladys’s “take no prisoners” attitude. Her intoxicating number soon after interval all but brings the house down." Alex First The Blurb Magazine Mandi Lodge as Gladys Calhoun, Huey’s southern mother, is an absolute standout in this production. A magnetic performer, when Gladys sings she bring the house down." ![]() "Mandi Lodge is fabulous and totally believable as Shirley. Sustaining a 130-minute one-woman show is a massive achievement and she well deserved a standing ovation at the end. With no supporting cast and nowhere to hide, Lodge encapsulates the role and is utterly fearless. Using nothing more than different inflections and voices she is able to bring other characters onto the stage with her, and the execution of each story is carefully delivered and perfectly timed. She is endearing and wry and utterly likable. She will make you laugh just as easily as she'll move you to tears."

Always...Patsy Cline
SWEENEY TODD

Mandi performs as Mrs Lovett with Rob Guest as Sweeney Todd.
"Naturally, Guest delivers in the title role but Lodge matches him note for note and runs away with the show right under the crafty old pro's nose. Lovett is a crowd-pleasing part and Lodge, a naturally fun performer to watch in action, sells it from her first scene"
